EAGLEHEART - Dreamtherapy CD Review
ARTIST: Eagleheart
TITLE: Dreamtherapy
LABEL: Scarlet Records
YEAR: 2011

For many fans of Metal, Power Metal is the pinnacle of Heavy Metal for some. Insane musicianship, powerful vocals, and powerful ballads are just view aspects of what the genre has to offer. However, if you’re like me you find that the genre has become rather stale and artificial. That isn’t to say that power metal has sold out, but I find that the ‘Power’ element of Power Metal has really just been watered down to guitar shredding and vocals that are a rather poor imitation of Bruce Dickinson.
Luckily, Eagleheart’s new album “Dreamtherapy” is nothing like that. For a Power Metal album I found myself enjoying this album a lot more than expected. It has all of the generic elements that Power Metal fans love but incorporates elements of classical, progressive, and thrash metal. This fusion creates a sound that is fresh, clean, and heavy. In my personal opinion album’s like “Dreamtherapy” are long overdue in the Power Metal genre. The song “Dreamtherapy” is, in my opinion, the highlight of the album. The opening to the song is just a perfect harmony of Symphonic Power Metal.
Considering this is the first album from “Eagleheart” I have to say that I am very impressed. This album is a must buy for all Power Metal fans out there. To put it simply it’s just an awesome album.
