SHARON OSBOURNE EXTREME My Autobiography Book Review

Written by Sharon Osbourne with Penelope Dening

If you are familiar with the 'Prince Of Darkness' Ozzy Osbourne then there is no doubt in my mind that you are familiar with who his wife Sharon is. A loving mother, tv star, producer and driving force in Ozzy's life. Like Ozzy her life has had it's share of ups and downs and she does not hold back in sharing any of them. Whether it be recalling the night that Ozzy's close friend and guitarist Randy Rhodes passed away in a tragic accident, when she called the police on Ozzy for almost killing her or even  when she describes her relationship with her father, she shares it all.

I sat down to read this book having already known a bit about this powerful woman and how she came to be such an influential part in Ozzy's solo career. I admired her before and have a new found respect for her after reading her story. It takes a lot of courage to be able to speak about hurtful things have occurred in the past and she does this which such an open heart. You can't help but to feel for her while reading and then pages later you find yourself cheering her on. It's a bit of a roller coaster of information being thrown at you all at once but is that not how life is for all of us? Calm one second and then a bridge over troubled water appears.

In this book Sharon talks about her childhood and what it was like growing up with a Jewish father and Irish Catholic mother. She also speaks about how her an Ozzy met and the crazy antics that took place while touring with him and his band mates. She speaks of the creation of Ozzfest and some of the things that her and daughter Kelly have done to bands that pissed her off.

Sharon is unapologetic however she is a forgiving person. If something is done to her or her family and she doesn't like it be careful because she will seek some kind of revenge. She's fully admitted to urinating in people's drinks! After reading this book I must say that this woman is a ball of fun, fury, triumph and success. I wouldn't want to cross her path when she's in a bad mood.

This book is definitely a good read if you are ready for thrills, chills and excitement. I am looking forward to going back and reading it again.
