I AM OZZY - Book Review
Written by Ozzy Osbourne
It should come as no surprise that once you sit to read this book it will be hard to put back down. If you know anything about Ozzy prior to this read then you know of all the headlines he has made in his day. From bitting the head off of a live bat to pissing on the Alamo wall, he's been busy stirring up the media circuits for years. I have always been a fan of The Prince of Darkness so I knew this was going to be a fun read.
Ozzy is either someone you love or someone you hate, either way he's got an interesting story behind him. The book talks about everything from him growing up, to his time with Black Sabbath, the tragedy that happened with Randy Rhodes right up to his solo career and his relationship with his wife Sharon. Speaking of his relationship with Sharon, Ozzy also recounts the time that he nearly killed her. I've read his side and Sharon's side an they both are similar only the way Ozzy recounts it is more interesting than his wife. Then again he admits from the very beginning of the book that he doesn't remember half of the shit that he has done in his past due to some filthy habits. So who knows what's what?
The book is very well written from his own words. There's humour all over and when it's time to get serious he does so in a way that grabs your attention. Reading it is almost just like sitting beside him and hearing him tell you his stories. There is a great collection of photos in the book as well. It's interesting to see the changes that he has gone through in his life.
The book is an easy read and one can read through it in no time. It's the kind of book that you just don't want to put down, i mean that is if you are interested in the story behind the man, his antics, his music and his family.
So what are you waiting for? Go out, get the book, kick back and get reading!
